Design features

Even outside and in the box, the headset exudes quality; it is a clean, narrow and compact package, not a monster as some Razer headsets can come.

That's not a big deal, obviously, but you know this will be a headset that won't take up space as a result.

Out of the box, the quality of the SteelSeries and Arctis line is even more apparent.

It has an elegant design in white (or black) and the construction is robust and resistant - but it also provides a light and comfortable headset.

The ski goggles headband is very comfortable and easy to adjust, but it can slide a little over the head, since it is not actually fixed or secure.

In the meantime, the controls are spread over the two cups (which is a good option for sophisticated headphones that have more features by default), with the power and volume slider to hear your own voice on one side, and the microphone , microphone mute button, main volume and dual USB ports - micro and mini - on the left.

The retractable microphone also has excellent build quality, while all integrated controls are organized, organized and responsive.

The bonus of a dial for the volume of the microphone in your own voice is good - although I never turned it on - and the feature set on the PC will allow you to customize when playing on that platform.

Acting

The overall audio quality of the SteelSeries Arctis 7P is excellent, particularly in terms of being crisp, clear and detailed.

The 40mm drivers do a great job of giving me the music for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, voices (which are incredibly clear in whatever game I’m in), ambient sounds and lots of combat noises as well.

I would really like a little more energy at the bottom of the audio spectrum - there is a noticeable lack of bass at times, which can lead to a frighteningly alarming amount of treble that is sent directly into your brain.

It can even make you shiver and lose the richness and roundness of the sound.

However, I have to say that this has not been a big problem or concern, but it will be something to watch out for those who play shooting games online (like The Division 2, where I noticed some lack of punch for gun noises) or thunderous soundtrack or heavy weapon single player games, like Doom Eternal or the Wolfenstein series.

The surround sound is great and helps in shooting games like Apex Legends on the PS5, but you will miss that on the PC.

It fits perfectly with Sony's Tempest 3D Audio, of course, and you can see its qualities on Sony consoles. Both PS5 and PS4; I tried both and it does a great job on whatever system you are on.

The wireless nature of the headset is perfect in configuration and stable, on the other hand, and the battery is really good.

I hardly need to carry it, and when I do, it doesn't take long.

Finally, the fit is very comfortable and the adjustable headband of the ski goggles makes it fit snugly on the head, while the cups are soft and gently hold the set against your ears.
